The Baby Home is a Durban based registered Place of Safety that cares for abandoned orphaned babies and babies given up for adoption. It also serves as a training centre for caregivers, providing valuable skills, opportunities and uplifting work for people in the Umlazi community.

There are over 3 500 children abandoned in South Africa every year and adoptions have virtually ground to a halt. As a result, places of safety like the Durban North Baby Home are a critical sanctuary for these vulnerable children. The Baby Home is a Durban based place of safety for abandoned and orphaned babies and training centre for caregivers in the Umlazi community.
